Catoctin Association | Central Atlantic Conference | United Church of Christ (UCC)

UCC Institute

UCC Institutes

The CAC Institutes instructors are Rev. Amber Neuroth and Rev. Daniel Sack

The chairs of the conference’s Committees on Ministry have decided to dedicate time to examining the Manual on Ministry’s second chapter. These educational sessions will be an opportunity to learn and reflect on the many aspects of authorized ministry. You are invited to come and listen, share, and gain a greater understanding of the varied aspects of our denomination’s polity and expectations.

The event is free and no registration is required.

You do not need to be a member of a committee on ministry, but if you are your presence would be appreciated. The Central Atlantic Conference sponsors a sequence of four institutes covering the History, Governance, Theology, and Ministry of the United Church of Christ. These courses follow the guidelines prepared by History, Theology, and Polity teachers on the essentials of a basic one-semester course.

The Saturday Institute format is designed to serve the needs of persons who cannot enroll in a regular semester-length seminary course to cover this material. Completion of all four sessions is equivalent to a “traditional” or online course in UCC History/Polity requirement.
