REV. GORDON FORBES “JUST PEACE” PREACHING AWARD
Westmoreland Congregational United Church of Christ, Bethesda, Maryland, announces the Rev. Gordon Forbes Just Peace Preaching Award focusing on the United Church of Christ Declaration on the Requirements of a Just Peace Between Palestine and Israel adopted at UCC’s 2021 General Synod. The award is named for Rev. Gordon Forbes, an outstanding preacher who served as senior minister of Westmoreland Church from 1982 until his retirement in 1998. Rev. Forbes is a passionate voice for peace and justice in the Middle East.
