god is still speaking

No matter ,
you are welcome here.

Welcome!

We believe in extravagant welcome as a sign of God’s love for all people. We are called to work toward God’s mission here on earth. Our faith calls us to work with— not against — people of other faiths and people of no faith.

RIP Medical Debt

Catoctin Association has committed to raising $7,000 to help our neighbors in West Virginia.

Medical debt, the #1 cause of bankruptcy in the US, has shattered the lives as well as the credit scores of people across our country. Every day 79 million Americans must choose between paying their medical bills and paying for basic needs like food and shelter. Faith communities and generous individuals across the country have been joining together to help relieve the burden of medical debt by partnering with RIP Medical Debt.

No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here.

How can the church be true to its gospel calling in these times of war?Can we engage in non-violent resistance together and what does that look like? What are we doing in our settings not only to pray for peace but to be actively engaged in the struggle for peace? These are just some of the questions clergy discussed at the “Becoming a Just Peace Church”, a conference in Wittenberg, Germany. You can read more of Rev. Freeman's thoughts on the conference and future of the UCC at our weekly blog: catoctinucc.org/our-thoughts-greetings-from-germany/ ... See MoreSee Less

For Mother's Day, Danielle Murry-Knowles of Global Ministries shared a Prayer and Mission Moment for her mission partners in Lesotho. "We pray for those all over the world who are waiting to give birth, especially for those who are waiting in hospitals and health centers in Lesotho, away from the comforts of their own homes and families. Wrap them in your loving presence, and give them hope, courage, and strength as they, co-creators with you, bring new life into the world." Read more: catoctinucc.org/pray-with-lesotho/ ...
